Shelby Cherniet, C.S.A
Upon receiving her B.A. from the University of Arizona in May 2002, Shelby began her internship with Claire Simon Casting the following fall. She became a permanent member of the casting industry in September 2003. She has served as a Chicago Casting Associate on several projects, most recently on Season One of both “Detroit 1-8-7” and “The Chicago Code”.  She has also cast many other projects including television pilots “Cooper & Stone”, “BOSS”, “The Line”, and “Matadors”, Season One of “The Beast," starring Patrick Swayze, and the hit television show “Prison Break”. She has been a Casting Associate on several films, including Steven Soderbergh’s “Contagion”, “The Last Rites of Joe May”, “Gifted Hands”, “The Poker House”, and “The Lake House”. She has also been a part of numerous television pilot seasons, and countless film searches and commercial spots. With a flare for Publicity, she has begun to develop this division at Simon Casting, so expect to be seeing our name out there. As a Senior Associate, Shelby is delighted to have been here at Claire Simon Casting the past eight years and looks forward to the many more years of casting to come!
